Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Central African Republic (CAR), Sylvie Baïpo-Temon, reiterated, Thursday in Rabat, her country's support for the Moroccanity of the Sahara.

Speaking at a press briefing following talks with Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Abroad, Nasser Bourita, Baïpo-Temon stressed that the Kingdom of Morocco has "all our support" regarding the regional dispute over the Moroccan Sahara.


The Central African minister, who is on a working visit to Morocco, also expressed the gratitude of the government and people of her country for the constant interest of the Kingdom for the situation in her country.


In terms of bilateral cooperation, "the Kingdom is among the CAR's privileged partners," she pointed out.


"I can assure you that our challenges are common and that the support of the CAR to the efforts led by Morocco remains constant," the CAR's top diplomat added.


Baïpo-Temon also welcomed the multifaceted support provided by Morocco to the CAR, especially within the framework of security, including the presence of a Moroccan contingent within the United Nations Stabilization Mission in CAR (MINUSCA), the humanitarian and economic areas (rehabilitation of the hospital, resumption of the air connection to Bangui by Royal Air Maroc in the coming days), scholarships and training in favor of Central African students, and the holding of regular consultations.
