Spanish and Moroccan civil society activists denounced Thursday, November 12 in Madrid, the daily ordeal experienced by populations sequestered in Tindouf camps in the Algerian territory and abuses committed by  Polisario.

The situation in the camps is untenable because of Polisario acts that have resulted in the installation of corruption and despair, said the president of the Forum Canario-Sahraoui (FOCASA), Miguel Ortiz Asin, at a press conference in the Spanish capital.

Ortiz emphasized that the failing Polisario leadership is controlled by Algeria, paying no interest to voices against oppression in the Tindouf camps. He also deplored embezzlement by Polisario leaders of international humanitarian aid to Tindouf camps to alleviate the suffering of the population held against will in the Algerian territory under influence and the lack of freedom of expression in camps and forced disappearances.

For his part, Enouihi Mbarek, the President of "Voice of the Sahara", highlighted the tension that prevails in Tindouf camps, due to the repression by Polisario , adding that this repression emerged in 2014 following demonstrations and riots.

He said the protests reflect the will of the inhabitants of these camps to revolt against dictatorship and corruption separatists. He on the other hand accused the Algerian army, for the murder of two young Khatri Ould Hmada Ould Khandoud and Mohamed Ould Aaliin Bouih.

In the same context, Khadijatou Ahmed Mohamed, victim of exactions by Polisario, presented a poignant testimony on systematic abuses by the leaders of the Polisario against the human rights and in particular the ordeal suffered by women.

Khadijatou said it was one of the victims of these barbaric acts, noting that many women suffered rape and were victims of exploitation in the camps in Tindouf in Algeria.

She adds that women victims do not even have the right to complain about justice, but were subject to humiliation in camps, and even were thrown in prisons.

The president of the Association of missing people (APDP), Dahi Agaui, warned against the confusion created by Algeria in the number of residents in Tindouf. He said Algeria, which refuses to identify this population, continue to beg for international aid. Dahi Agaui noted that Tindouf camps are the scene of all kinds of abuse, calling on the international community to intervene to end this situation.
