While it is true that in the life of Nations  celebration of a rite founder is often made through Homeric liturgies and poignant homage to ancestors, in Morocco, the commemoration of the the King and people’s revolution day (August 20, 1953) has become increasingly synonymous with a renewed and advanced surge.

Wink of history or accident of the calendar, the celebration of this glorious moment that makes echo of the enormous sacrifices of generations of Moroccans for the recovery of Independence, on the eve of another anniversary and not least for the future of the Fatherland: the celebration of youth say, coincides this year with the 53th anniversary of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.

Remarkably, the sacrificial courage of parents and grandparents being properly supported and proudly sported, the royal speeches addressed to the circumstance are an invitation for reflection, questioning, call to action ... in short, continuous revolution of a king and people.

In these speeches, between two birthdays, we detect a sincere feeling, an endearing extension, an intense continuum, in full summer torpor, inciting the nation to mark a stop for an examination of conscience to assess achievements and identify weaknesses and existing shortcomings, looking to the future.

To appreciate the content, it might be enough to consider the topics headlights addressed by the royal speech during the last four years, where the Sovereign has masterfully highlighted the priorities and outlined the contours of a new era. August 20, 2012 HM the King praised the pristine memory of the martyrs for their heroic values, selflessness, sacrifice and loyalty with Morocco recovering freedom, unity and sovereignty, before turning to the "promising Moroccan youth in building a future worthy of the glory and grandeur of the past."

"Speaking of young people, is to evoke challenges of the present and discuss future prospects. And to talk about the future, it is necessary, besides a great intellectual honesty to scrutinize future horizons, which are developed to prepare our young people strategies for a better tomorrow,"said the Sovereign, before focusing on the education system and ability to train the younger generation and prepare them to become fully involved in the process of development and democratic progress of society.

And that's not all. "If our youth are driven by the legitimate ambition to play a significant role in the political, economic and social life, they wish in the same way, to be inserted in the cultural and artistic creation, whose spaces remain unevenly distributed across the different regions of Morocco, "noted His Majesty the King.

Better: "It would be unacceptable to consider youth as a burden to society. They must, however, be treated as a development dynamic force. It is therefore imperative to develop a comprehensive strategy that would end the dispersion of benefits currently provided to our youth and  adopt an integrated policy that combines, in synergy and convergence, the various actions in favor of youth".

The August 20, 2014 speech delivered a precise diagnosis of the place which suits Morocco, that "people inhabited by the ambition to reach the highest peaks and be in tune with advanced nations" who was able, by special genius and particular model, to "consolidate their democratic path, while consolidating the foundations of a model of integrated and sustainable development, driven by the imperative to launch development projects, combined with the will of promoting human and sustainable development. "

Leaving nothing to chance, the speech mentioned the Green Morocco Plan, Halieutis Plan, Industrial Emergence Plan, international performance of OCP- Melloussa Tangier Pole, the Moroccan plan for solar and wind energy, partnership with the GCC and the countries of sub-Saharan Africa, EU-Morocco advanced status, free trade agreements with the US, strategic partnership with Russia and partnership with China, in addition to the role of Morocco as an essential link in the tripartite and multilateral cooperation, in particular to ensure security, stability and development in Africa.

"Our development model has reached a level of maturity that enables it to make a final and deserved entry into the concert of emerging countries. However, the coming years will be crucial to sustain gains, correct malfunctions and stimulate growth and investment".

Are we allowed to drift away? Far from it. The human element, true wealth of Morocco and one of the essential components of its intangible capital, "is a major prerequisite for increasing the competitiveness and meeting the requirements of development and labor market and support the growth and diversification facing the national economy ".

On the same momentum forward thinking and resolutely focused on the future, the speech of 20 August 2015 left to posterity presentation on regional and professional elections that marked the political life in the last year with at first and foremost, the implementation of advanced regionalization, in the prospect of this project will build "a true pillar of the Morocco national unity, territorial integrity, cross-categorical solidarity, complementarity and interregional balance. "

Under this prism, it would be interesting to mention the Sovereign’s praise to all the "Security services for their mobilization and vigilance to thwart repeated attempts to terrorist purposes who are desperate to undermine the Moroccan model globally recognized for its singularity" .

Ultimately, " it is the success of regionalization or the preservation of security and stability, common element in these two objectives is to serve the Moroccan citizen," further notes HM the King in this speech.

The royal speeches August 20 mark a new Morocco worthy of its millennial history, able to enact its Present and resolutely open to its inhabitants, the very people who will assume historical responsibility "we all must continue to carry the torch of the revolution constantly renewed by the King and the People and lead  Morocco to unity, solidarity, security and progress".
