Congolese newspaper "Forum des As" highlighted the voter turnout of the populations of Morocco's southern provinces in the general elections of September 8, stating that "the high turnout is a further proof of their attachment to the Kingdom and its territorial integrity."

In an article under the title "More legitimate representatives for the Moroccan Sahara!", the daily wrote that as in Congolese newspaper "Forum des As" highlighted the voter turnout of the populations of Morocco's southern provinces in the general elections of September 8, stating that "the high turnout is a further proof of their attachment to the Kingdom and its territorial integrity."2015, the Moroccan Sahara will confer legitimacy on those of its "daughters and sons" empowered to manage its southern provinces and to defend in parliament the interests of this integral part of the Kingdom.


"The ingenuity of HM King Mohammed VI is to have anticipated reforms enshrined in the 2011 Constitution," the daily pointed out.


The autonomy plan under Moroccan sovereignty "recognized by the international community as the only realistic and sustainable solution, is already underway," it highlighted, noting that "Sahrawis elected have already taken in hand the management of public affairs."


A visit to the southern provinces of the Kingdom is enough to see how modern cities emerged such as Laayoune, Dakhla, Boujdour ..., the newspaper noted.


"Saharawis defend like all their compatriots the Moroccanness of the Sahara," the daily highlighted, concluding by questioning "which Sahara are the separatists in Tindouf talking about? What legitimacy can the polisario leader claim to speak on behalf of Moroccans in the southern provinces?"


With a voter turnout of 66.94% in Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra, 63.76% in Guelmim-Oued Noun and 58.30% in Dakhla-Oued Eddahab, the three regions of the southern provinces of the Kingdom surpassed the national turnout.
