The United States on Monday reaffirmed, at the UN Security Council, its support for Morocco’s autonomy plan as a “serious, credible and realistic” approach to settle the regional dispute over the Moroccan Sahara.
  


 Explosions in Es-Smara: Morocco to Draw Necessary Conclusions Based on Ongoing Investigation  11/1/2023
Morocco will draw the necessary conclusions on the basis of the "conclusive" results of the investigation being carried out by the judicial police into the four explosions that occurred on Saturday night in the town of Es-Smara, causing the death of one person and injuring three, two of whom were in serious condition, Morocco's ambassador and permanent representative to the UN, Omar Hilale, said in New York.
  


 Morocco Welcomes Adoption by UN Security Council of Resolution 2703  11/1/2023
Morocco welcomes the adoption, Monday, by the UN Security Council of resolution 2703 relating to the Moroccan Sahara, which comes in "a context marked by the ongoing positive momentum experienced by the issue, under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him", the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates said.

Resolution 2703 adopted by the United Nations Security Council on the Moroccan Sahara issue reinforces the vision and strategic choice of His Majesty King Mohammed VI in favor of negotiation, the peaceful settlement of disputes and the policy of outstretched hand, said on Monday in New York the Moroccan ambassador and permanent representative of the Kingdom to the UN, Omar Hilale.
  


 UN Security Council Extends MINURSO Mandate for One Year  10/31/2023
The United Nations Security Council on Monday decided to extend the mandate of MINURSO for one year, while enshrining, once again, the preeminence of the Moroccan autonomy initiative to settle the regional dispute over the Moroccan Sahara.
