 Morocco Welcomes Adoption by UN Security Council of Resolution 2654 on Moroccan Sahara Issue  10/28/2022
The Kingdom of Morocco welcomes the adoption today by the UN Security Council of resolution 2654 on the Moroccan Sahara issue, which renews the mandate of MINURSO for one year, until the end of October 2023, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates said on Thursday.

United Nations (New York) - The United Nations Security Council decided on Thursday to extend the mandate of MINURSO for one year, while enshrining, once again, the preeminence of the Moroccan autonomy initiative to resolve the regional dispute over the Moroccan Sahara.

The Union of Comoros reiterated, in New York, its "full" support to the Moroccan autonomy initiative, calling it "the compromise solution" to resolve the regional dispute over the Moroccan Sahara.

Gambia reaffirmed, in New York, its "firm" support for Morocco's territorial integrity and its sovereignty over its Sahara, while welcoming the autonomy initiative as a "viable solution" to this regional dispute.
  


 Gabon Reaffirms Support for Autonomy Under Moroccan Sovereignty  10/27/2022
Gabon reiterated, before the 4th Committee of the UN General Assembly, its support for the Moroccan autonomy initiative in the Sahara which presents “credible and reassuring prospects”.
