 4th Committee: International Community Reiterates Support for Moroccan Sahara  10/26/2018
The Fourth Committee of the UN General Assembly adopted Wednesday without a vote a resolution reiterating support for the UN-led political process aimed at settling the Moroccan Sahara issue and called upon the countries in the region to cooperate fully with the Secretary General and his Personal Envoy, and with each other, in order to reach a political settlement to this regional dispute.
  


 Sahara Issue Must Be Solved Through "Political Dialogue Constructive Compromise"   10/25/2018
The Republic of Djibouti said last week before the 4th Committee of the UN General Assembly that the Sahara issue must be resolved through a "political dialogue and a constructive compromise", in accordance with relevant resolutions of the Security Council".

Burundi called Monday on the parties concerned to favor a political solution based on realism and spirit of compromise to resolve the conflict in the Sahara, and thus contribute to stability and security in the Sahel.

Saint Kitts and Nevis said on Tuesday before the 4th Committee of the UN General Assembly that the Moroccan autonomy plan is able to resolve the conflict in the Sahara and meet the aspirations of Saharawis.
  


 Morocco's Autonomy Initiative for the Sahara, a 'Good Basis for Future Negotiations’  10/24/2018
Benin reiterated, on Tuesday before the 4th Committee of the UN General Assembly, its support for the Moroccan autonomy initiative, which constitutes a "good basis for future negotiations" for a final settlement of the Sahara issue.
