 Morocco Strongly Condemns Polisario Recent Provocative Actions in Tifariti, 'New and Serious Violation of Ceasefire'  5/21/2018
The Kingdom of Morocco "strongly condemns" the recent provocative actions carried out by the "Polisario" in the locality of Tifariti, east of Morocco's defense system in the Moroccan Sahara and "considers that this is a new and serious violation of the ceasefire and a flagrant challenge to the authority of the UN Security Council," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation said on Saturday.

The participation of the Moroccan delegation, which included elected representatives from the southern provinces at the 51st session of the Conference of African Ministers of Finance, Planning and Economic Development of the Economic Commission for Africa, led to the withdrawal of Polisario representatives from the meeting.
  


 Moroccan Sahara Development Should Not Be Held Hostage by Political Process  5/15/2018
Speaking at the C24 regional seminar in Grenada, Morocco's permanent representative to the UN, ambassador Omar Hilale highlighted Morocco's efforts and achievements in favour of the economic and social development of the southern provinces, adding that the socio-economic development of the Moroccan Sahara should not be held hostage by the political process.
