  "Turkish non-recognition position of Polisario unchanged," Turkish Prime Minister   6/9/2013

Turkey's position regarding the Sahara issue remains unchanged, said Monday in Rabat, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, adding that his country does not recognize Polisario but remains ready to offer its good offices to assist in resolving this conflict.

Ricardo Melchior Navaro, President of the Autonomous Government of Tenerife, welcomed the autonomy proposal to resolve the conflict over the Sahara region, as a proposal that "draws its credibility in the agreement of the parties to the conflict and which can deal with this problem within a framework of mutual acceptance.
