 The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Taib Fassi Fihri, said during an interview broadcast on Thursday by the second channel (2M), that the Kingdom enjoys a "very comfortable" position regarding the issue of the Moroccan Sahara.






  


 New family visit exchange from and towards the province of Oued Eddahab  11/15/2011

In a statement, made public, the Office of the Moroccan Coordination with MINURSO indicates that the exchange operation of family visits, led by the High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) between the Kingdom’s southern provinces and Tindouf camps in southern Algeria, continued Monday, by the organization of the 33rd trip for 2011.

The abduction of three European aid workers in in Tindouf camps by al-Qaida in the Islamic  Maghreb (AQIM), with the proven help of Polisario elements, stresses "the urgency" to find a definitive solution to the Sahara issue, stressed participants in a conference Wednesday under the theme: "The impact of the fall of Gaddafi on Security in the Maghreb and the Sahel," by "The Atlantic Council", a prestigious think-tank based in Washington.

Associating the true representatives of the inhabitants of the southern provinces will put an end to the allegations of those who proclaim themselves as their exclusive representatives

In a speech to the nation Sunday evening, marking the 36th anniversary of the Green March, His Majesty King Mohammed VI said that the Moroccan Sahara will be a model for advanced regionalization, implying a democratic election of its instances and a large transfer of powers and resources from the center to the regions, and providing bodies for regional and national solidarity, social upgrading and human development.
