L. Mahraoui: The Sahara issue is no longer a question of decolonization but a regional political conflict backed by the Algerian regime

Documents and evidence proving the historical foundations of the Moroccan Sahara since 17 th century were presented by Mr. Lahcen Mahraoui member of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs (CORCAS) on Saturday night in Courtrai (north west of Belgium), before MPs and Belgian politicians and members of the Moroccan community in Europe.

 Autonomy plan for the Sahara can help resolving insecurity in the Sahel (chairman of the EU-Morocco Friendship Group)  9/27/2012
The Morocco-EU Friendship Group at the European Parliament is in favor of the Moroccan autonomy plan as a solution to the Sahara conflict, which can also "help resolving the problem of insecurity in the Sahel region," according to its president Gilles Pargneaux.
