The international human rights watchdog, Amnesty International (AI), denounced the impunity enjoyed by the perpetrators of human rights violations in the polisario-run sequestration camps of Tindouf (south-western Algeria).

  


 Fassi Fihri: Strengthening the legitimacy of the Kingdom’s position against the decaying separatist thesis  5/13/2011

Taib Fassi Fihri, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation said in his speech Thursday before the Committee on Foreign Affairs, National defense and Islamic Affairs of the House of Representatives, that the legitimacy of the Moroccan position is getting stronger significantly against the parallel decline of the arguments of the opponents of Morocco’s territorial integrity, which is the result of efforts made by Moroccan both official and parallel diplomacy.

The French Foreign Minister Alain Juppé told the parliamentary foreign-affairs committee, on Wednesday in Paris, that the latest Security Council resolution on the Sahara has taken into account Morocco's efforts in the area of human rights.

Professor Charles Saint-Prot devoted the editorial of the latest edition of the Bulletin of the Centre for Geopolitical Studies (OEG) to the relationship of the Sahara with the turmoil that exists in the region, emphasizing the fact that the solution to the Sahara on the basis of the Moroccan proposal is an absolute necessity to end the role played by Polisario in the maintenance of regional destabilization.
