 Corcas chairman meets with the President of the Chilean Senate   7/27/2011

The Chairman of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs, Mr. Khalihenna Ould Errachid received on Wednesday, the president of the Chilean Senate, Guido Girardi Lavin, who is on a working visit to Morocco at the head of an important delegation, which includes Julio Camara, Lawyer International Director of the Senate and Secretary of the Relations Commission as well as Juan Walker, Chief of Staff of the Senate President. 

  


 Sahara: France backs negotiations because the impasse "is in nobody's interest"  7/25/2011

The spokesman for the Quai d'Orsay (French Ministry of Foreign Affairs), Bernard Valero, welcomed Friday the continuing negotiations for "a realistic political solution 'to Sahara issue, because the impasse "is in nobody's interest".

The next informal talks on the Sahara will take place after the fall session of the U.N. General Assembly, said Thursday the U.N. Secretary-General's Personal Envoy, Christopher Ross, at the end of the eighth round of informal talks held in Manhasset.

Foreign Minister Taib Fassi Fihri said, Thursday night in Manhasset, the underway normalization process of relations between Morocco and Algeria is likely to "contribute to the resolution" of the Sahara issue.

  


 Second day of the works of the eighth round of informal talks on Sahara in Manhasset  7/21/2011

The works of the 8th round of informal talks on the Sahara opened, on Wednesday in Manhasset (New York's suburbs) in the presence of Morocco, Algeria, Mauritania and the polisario, said to MAP the Office of the UN spokesman.
