Construction of 1,770 low-cost housing between 2008 and 2012 in the Sahara region 9/10/2008
The Kingdom’s southern provinces o will benefit from the construction of 1,770 housing units under "Al Omrane" preliminary program to enable poor families access to housing. According to the Ministry of Housing, Urban Development and Spatial Planning, this program involves the construction of 1,500 housing units in urban areas and 270 units in rural areas.

Foreign Minister, Taieb Fassi Fihri, on Sunday called for the normalization of relations between Morocco and Algeria, noting that Morocco "sees its future in the Maghreb." "We aspire to overcome the obstacles and difficulties that we have had for a few years," Fassi said at a joint Press conference with visiting U.S. Secretary of State, Condoleezza Rice, hoping that "relations between Morocco and Algeria will be normalized and Maghreban integration will be achieved."

Contract signature to increase capacity of electric power production in Dakhla 9/3/2008
The National Electricity Office (ONE) and the Finnish company "Wartsila" signed Tuesday a contract for the extension of the Dakhla-based Central Gas Turbine to increase production the city’s electric power capacity by 16.5 MW.
