The initiative of autonomy proposed by Morocco is "the only solution to the Sahara conflict that undermines Maghreb integration," said the President of the Center for strategic studies (OEG), Mr. Charles Saint-Prot. This is the analysis made by "the great powers, including the United States and France," said Saint-Prot, in a statement to the MAP, on the sidelines of a conference on regional development, organized Wednesday at foreign press reception center (CAPE) in Paris.

"Algeria is the main responsible for breaches of the Sahrawi population’s rights in the camps of Tindouf, where it is deprived of its most basic rights," he told MAP-Geneva.
