Morocco's autonomy plan is 'coherent', Senegalese FM 1/30/2008
Senegalese Minister of State for Foreign Affairs described as"coherent" Morocco's proposal to grant substantial autonomy to its Southern Provinces, The Sahara, in a bid to solve the 32-year dispute between the north African country and the Algerian-backed separatist movement "Polisario" over the control of this land. This "package proposal" is "the result of Morocco's tireless efforts," Cheikh Tidiane Gadio told MAP on the sidelines of the 12th Session of the Executive Council of the African Union, held on January 28-29 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

"Polisario's obstinance and its war threats constitute a tragedy, particularly for the sahrawis, held against their will in Tindouf camps (southwestern Algeria)," affirmed CEO of Moroccan American Center for Policy (MACP), in a letter to the editor, published Friday by the Washington Times.The actions of the Algerian-backed separatist movement, the Polisario, also "hinder the efforts of Morocco, the United Nations and others in the international community who are working diligently to find a peaceful, compromise political solution" to the Sahara issue, Robert Holley underlined.

Family-visit exchange beneficiary decides to stay in Morocco 1/25/2008
A woman and her two sons, beneficiaries of the HCR-led family visit exchange between Morocco's Southern Provinces, the Sahara, and Polisario-run Tindouf camps, have decided to stay in the southern city of Dakhla to put an end to years of suffering in Lahmada and Tindouf camps, southwestern Algeria. Mrs. Naha Bent Salk Oueld Sidi Lablal, 30, from R'guibet Laayacha tribe and her two sons Mohamed Lamine and Chiba Saad Bouh Mohamed Lamine, aged 6 and 3 years, arrived last Friday to Dakhla from Tindouf camps, part of the third family-exchange operation in 2008.

The Organization of the North Atlantic Treaty (NATO) has unveiled a secret document that clearly states the involvement of Algeria in the conflict of the Moroccan Sahara.
