Speaking at the 31st session of the UN Human Rights Council, Bouaida stressed that "the exceptional political, economic and social momentum in the Sahara region reflects the adherence to its populations to the development policies initiated in this region, like other regions of the Kingdom".
She recalled that the large-scale projects launched by HM King Mohammed VI during His last visit to the southern provinces have given new impetus to Morocco's efforts to become a stable and prosperous economic hub, which is in perfect harmony with other regions of the Kingdom, but also with its African environment.
The launch of the Moroccan Sahara development model, she said, is in line with the deepening of participatory approach to development to enable local populations to manage their own affairs and enjoy the positive impact of growth and development.
