Hungary "supports autonomy solution proposed by Morocco as part of the UN process," said the Hungarian Ambassador to Morocco, Miklos Tromler, in an interview published Wednesday in the newspaper "L'Opinion".

The Hungarian diplomat said that Hungary has always supported UN debates and approaches over the Moroccan Sahara, opting for a policy accepted by both parties in accordance with the resolutions of the Security Council.

The Hungarian government is oriented towards the objective of finding a quick solution, he noted, saying that this solution is needed in a context marked by "migration and terrorism that are beginning to take a horrific scale."

In terms of economic relations, he noted a gradual increase in trade between the two countries since 2012, adding that last year has seen "dramatic increase" at 23 pc from 2014 to 2015.

The two countries cooperate commercially in several key sectors, including tourism, he adds, considering that this sector is a key to improving trade.

This increase in trade between the Kingdom and Hungary is "the result of work that the Embassy of Hungary in Rabat and all stakeholders have undertaken successfully," said the Hungarian official.

Hungary has been offering, since 2014, each year, 100 scholarships for Moroccan students, according to M.Tromler who explains that this initiative is part of a program entitled "Stipendium Hungaricum" to establish good and deep friendships and business relations with Morocco.
