This humanitarian action has so far targeted approximately 21,050 households in the region, including fishermen living in fishing villages (340), sub-Saharan nationals living in Dakhla (382) and residents of the Aousserd (230) .
Supervised by the local authorities, this operation, which benefited many families, with pre-eminence for the poorest strata, took place in good conditions and in strict compliance with the measures put in place as part of the state of health emergency, knowing that the baskets of food were delivered to the beneficiaries' homes.
The initiative, which has a strong social impact, is part of the Regional Council's constant mobilization to better overcome the difficulties in this difficult economic climate brought about by the Covid-19 and alleviate the social repercussions on households.
It thus confirms the decision of the Council of the Dakhla-Oued Eddahab region to allocate an amount of MAD15 million to finance the purchase of 25,000 baskets of basic foodstuffs for the benefit of poor and vulnerable people.
