The Moroccan community in Norway has invited the government and parliament of Norway to put pressure on Algeria to put an end to the ordeal suffered by Moroccans sequestered in Tindouf camps.

Morocco made a step forward with the autonomy initiative, French politician 11/13/2008
The Vice-president of the socialist group in the French National Assembly, François Loncle, underlined the importance of the Moroccan autonomy initiative pointing out that this initiative clearly shows that Morocco has made a move forward. Loncle who held talks, here Wednesday, with a delegation of the International Federation for Autonomy in the Sahara (FIAS), said in "such a crucial issue" as the Sahara "all parties must agree and make moves to reach out to each other."

Morocco's ambassador in Caracas, Ibrahim Moussa, who gave a series of interviews to various media in Venezuela and Latin America to explain the scope of advanced status granted by the European Union in Morocco, reported that it reflects the reforms undertaken by Morocco and refers, inter alia, to democratization, economic openness, promoting the role of women in society, promulgation of the new Family Code, fight against poverty, social exclusion, illiteracy and insecurity, according to the Embassy of the Kingdom.

Argentina backs talks for 'agreeable' solution to everybody 11/11/2008
Argentina's Foreign vice-minister, Victorio Taccetti, has underlined his country's support to the process of negotiations on the Sahara within the United Nations to find a solution that is "agreeable by everybody." "We support the negotiations process," Taccetti said at the end of a meeting on political consultations between Argentina and Morocco that he co--chaired Monday with Secretary General of the Moroccan Foreign Ministry, Youssef Amrani.
