The inaugural flight marking the launch of this line was carried out aboard a Boeing 737-800 aircraft which landed on the tarmac at Dakhla airport around 4pm from Paris-Orly airport.
The 148 passengers of this first flight, which lasted nearly 4 hours 15 minutes, were greeted on arrival at Dakhla airport by an official delegation composed of Director General of the Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT), Abderrafie Zouitene, Wali of the Dakhla-Oued Eddahab region, governor of Oued Eddahab province, Lamine Benomar, chairman of the region's council, Ynja Khattat, chairman of the regional tourism council, Ahmed Abdalaoui, actors and local officials.
The inauguration of this link is part of the implementation of a partnership agreement concluded between ONMT and Transavia at the Top Resa International Tourism Fair in Paris. The new airline will initially be provided with a scheduled weekly flight on Thursdays.
